Geologica generates uraninite in several unique deposit types, in addition to the appearance of uraninite in carbonatite deposits. The most significant deposits are called "unconformities", because they do not conform with the pattern of the surrounding strata. These are usually hosted by sandstone (sometimes in combination with slate), and less often conglomerate. Uraninite may also be found as veins in the continental crust.
