Sedimentary rocks and ores formed through the transformation of sediment that accumulated at the bottom of ancient seas, lakes, and rivers. Occassionally, the sedimentation process served to separate and concentrate specific minerals, hence generating economically exploitable deposits. A sedimentary deposit is typically formed as a localized layer, or stratum, or bed, in the upper crust. We list the ores/minerals and location for each deposit in Geologica below. These deposits are typically quite large; establishing mining infrastructure is encouraged.
